Saints Community Based Organization
Saints C.B.O. is a dedicated community-based organization operating in the Umoja area of Nairobi. Founded with a passion for uplifting society, we focus on creating safe, supportive, and meaningful opportunities for young people within our neighborhood. By offering structured programs and positive engagement, we provide a platform where youth can discover and nurture their talents, build confidence, and develop into responsible, empowered members of the community.
At the heart of our mission is the commitment to steering young people away from drug abuse and other harmful activities by giving them constructive alternatives that inspire growth and purpose. We also champion environmental conservation, encouraging our community to take part in activities that promote cleanliness, sustainability, and a healthier living environment. Through these combined efforts, Saints C.B.O. continues to make a lasting impact—shaping a brighter future for our youth and for Umoja as a whole.
Saints C.B.O. Background
Improving Lives.
Saints Community Based Organization (CBO) was founded in 2021 in response to the growing social challenges facing Nairobi’s Eastlands. Rising crime rates, widespread drug abuse, poor environmental conditions, and limited opportunities had left many young people vulnerable and their talents wasted. Concerned by this reality, a group of passionate and determined young people came together with a shared vision to create positive change and offer hope to the community through meaningful engagement.
Our objective is to empower youth and transform the community through sports, education, and environmental conservation. Through Saints FC, we nurture football talent, promote discipline, and keep young people away from drugs and crime. We also engage in mentorship, community clean-ups, and tree planting to encourage responsibility, teamwork, and sustainable living while building a safer, healthier future for our community.
Saints CBO Objectives.
To identify, nurture, and develop football talent among young people while promoting discipline, teamwork, and positive life skills through structured sports programs.
To engage youth in constructive activities that reduce involvement in crime and drug abuse, creating a safer, more responsible, and empowered community.
To support personal growth through mentorship, life skills training, and education awareness, helping young people make informed decisions about their future.
We educate young people on HIV and AIDS prevention, testing, and stigma reduction, empowering them with accurate information to make responsible and informed health decisions.
To promote a clean and healthy environment through community clean-ups, tree planting, and environmental awareness activities that encourage sustainable community living.
We run structured boys’ and girls’ football teams for ages 9–16, using sports to nurture talent, build discipline, confidence, teamwork, and create positive life pathways.
We organize regular community clean-ups and tree planting activities to promote environmental responsibility, improve public health, and create a cleaner, safer, and more sustainable living environment.
We create safe spaces for youth to discuss mental health, reduce stigma, and access guidance, support, and life skills that promote emotional wellbeing and resilience.

Our Activities
Saints C.B.O. is committed to discovering and nurturing the talents of young people within our community, primarily through our football program, Saints FC. By providing structured training, mentorship, and competitive opportunities, we help youth build confidence, discipline, and teamwork while developing their athletic skills. This program creates a positive environment where young people can express their potential and pursue their dreams both on and off the pitch.
Beyond sports, we actively participate in environmental conservation through organized tree-planting initiatives. These activities not only contribute to a greener, healthier environment but also educate the youth about the importance of sustainability and their role in protecting the planet. Each tree planted symbolizes growth, hope, and the long-term impact we aim to create within Umoja.

We have successfully discovered and nurtured young football talents, providing structured training, mentorship, and exposure that help youths grow in discipline, confidence, and competitive ability.

We have planted over 10,000 trees across different parts of Nairobi, contributing to environmental conservation, climate action, and the creation of cleaner, healthier community spaces.

Through continuous awareness programs, we have promoted a drug-free lifestyle and increased HIV/AIDS education, reducing stigma, limiting spread, and equipping youth with proper management knowledge.
